On (12/12/23) evening following a tip off, Narcotic cell intercepted one TATA 1512 LPT mini truck having registration number on old Delhi Road under Dankuni PS and apprehended two persons namely 1) Mahabub Mondal(35) of Sahagrampur, PO Domkol, 2) Ainul Biswas(45),PO Chuaipara, PS Jalangi, MSD & seized 1.5 quintal approx Cannabis(Ganja) which was keep concealed under 100 bags Ultratech Cement inside tha Dala of the goods vehicle & market value of seized narcotic contraband is Rs 22 lakhs (approx). One mobile phone also seized from their possession. This consignment illegally transported from Odisha & scheduled to be delivered at Nadia & Murshidabad District.Search/ Seizure/ Arrest/ packaging procedures made under coverage of videography in presence of DS CID. Over the written complaint of CID Dankuni PS C/No 381/23 Dt 12/12/23 U/S 20(b)(ii)C/25/29 NDPS Act,1985 has been started as Suomotu & as per order, Narcotics & Special Crimes Cell will investigate the case. The accd persons will be forwarded before Ld Adj Spl NDPS Court Chinsurah, Hoogly with remand prayer.
