Sonarpur PS Case No. 336/20 dated 09.04.2020 u/ s 363 IPC was registered as per complaint of Laxman Haldar of Kultali that his daughter Tumpa Mandal is missing since March 2020. Sonarpur PS was investigating the case and arrested the husband of Tumpa Mondal, but could not travel out the missing wife & on 13.6.23 as per order of Honble High Court Calcutta CID took up its investigation. On 23.6.23 during sustained interrogation by CID team the accused person Bhombal Mondal (husband of Tumpa) confessed that he had killed his wife Tumpa & dumped her dead body inside the septic tank of his rented house at Sonarpur in 2020. The accused who was arrested earlier by Sonarpur PS is presently on court bail. The process is going on to recover the dead body from the tank for further investigation. Prayer for cancellation of bail of the accused husband and also prayer for adding sec 302 IPC ( Murder) would be placed before Ld Court.
