Ref : CID Cyber Crime PS Case No- 11/22, Dated-09/12/2022, U/S-419/420/406/120B IPC The above noted case has been started on the written complaint of Soumyadev Patra resident of Paschim Medinipur and an employee of West Bengal Police. On 02.12.2022, Rs Rs. 20,589 was fraudulently transferred from his SBI credit card and used for purchase of one ‘Xiaomi’ mobile phone online from ‘Xiaomi’ website. During investigation the said mobile phone was recovered from Baramullah district Jammu and Kashmir by CID Cyber PS. During further investigation two team of Cyber crime PS CID, West Bengal held raid simultaneously on 14/15.06.23 night at Patiyala district of Punjab and Bhatinda district of Punjab and successfully arrested two master mind of the crime 1. Dimpy, S/o-Darshan Kunar of 4146/2 Purbia Street Patiala, Punjab and 2. Karan Gupta S/o Raj Kumar Gupta of Mall Road, P.S.- Kotwali, Bhatinda , Punjab. The accused persons used to dupe common people impersonating themselves as bank personnel and then used the defrauded money to purchase cell phones from E-commerce sites and sold it again to innocent customers making fake receipts. Both the accused persons were produced on (15.06.2023) before the concerned Ld Magistrates of Patiyala and Bhatinda and transit remand is allowed . They will be produced before Ld ACJM Alipore today i.e. on 19.06.2023.
