As ordered by Ld. ACJM Bongaon, North 24 Pgs, the deity/idol of Lord Krishna made of black stone (Kasthi Pathar) weighing about 5 kgs and valuing approximately Rs. 5 lakhs which was recovered in c/w Gaighata PS Case No. 457/08 dt. 24.11.2008 u/s 379/411/413/414/34 IPC RW Section 25 of the Antiquities and Art treasures Act 1972, has been handed over to the Indian Museum Authority located at 27, Jawaharlal Nehru Rd, Park Street, Kolkata-700016 today i.e 21.09.2023 for its effective preservation in view of its artistic and cultural significance.
