On 22.2.17 Officer & force of SOG cell CID, WB held raid at Bandel Railway Station area
and arrested two (2) accused persons namely Tutia & Rajen, both of Gandhi Nagar, PS
Jagdishpur, Dist. Amithi, Uttar Pradesh. The accused persons trafficked live Indian soft shell
turtles of different shape and size from Uttar Pradesh to different place of West Bengal. The
officers of CID, WB seized 174 pieces live Indian soft shell Turtles from the possession of
the accused persons.Bandel GRPS case No. 9/2017 dated 22.2.17 u/s 51 of Wild life protection
Act, r/w section 120B IPC.
