On 17.06.23 afternoon hours in course of working out secret source information, a raid was conducted by the officers and men of SOG, CID WB at the outskirts of Bauria station area under PS- Bauria, Dist-Howrah Rural. In course of such raid Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) having face value of Rs-300000/- ( Three lakhs) in the denomination of Rs-500/- could be recovered from two persons viz-- 1) Sk Samir (19) PS Bauria, Dist Howrah Rural & 2) Sk Arif (22) PS- Bauria who had come to the area for dealing with FICN. Accordingly, the said FICN along with other articles were seized and the persons arrested. On further interrogation and leading to the statement of accd- SK. Samir, one laptop, printer, scanner , lamination machine and some other materials were found in his house with which the accd person used to counterfeit Indian currency notes. The said articles have also been seized. On the strength of written complaint of SOG, Bauria PS Case No- 102/23 dt-17.06.23 u/s 489A/489B/489C/489D/120B IPC has been registered.
