Bolpur PS c/no 71 dated 31/5/04 u/s 468/471/420B IPC.


On 31/5/04 Sri S K Sarkar, Registrar of Visva Bharati University, Bolpur lodged a written complaint to the effect that one Smt Mukti Deb w/o Prof. N. Banerjee and d/o Sukriti Deb, a lecturer of Mathematics Department of Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan had forged her testimonials in support of her educational qualification e.g. BSc (Hons.) & MSc Marksheets and cheated Visva Bharati authority by posing herself having passed BSc (Hons.) and MSc in applied Mathematics from Calcutta and Jadavpur University respectively. On the basis of the written report of complaint from the complainant, O/C Bolpur PS registered the instant case and SI Khairul Islam of Bolpur PS took up the investigation. Subsequently control of investigation of the case was assumed by CID, West Bengal.
