Sankrail PS Case No. 130 dated 06.07.2004 u/s 302/201 IPC added Section 120 B IPC.
On 02.07.2004 around 08:00 hrs Dr. Susil Pal of Walsh Hospital, Serampur left his residence at 9/1A Bright Street , Kolkata-700019 PS – Karaya
For Serampur . At around 11:00 hrs Dr. Pal talked with his wife from his mobile phone no 9830755555 at phone no 22477839 when he informed her that he went to Rishra /Konnagar. Again at around 14:30 hrs his wife talked with Dr.Pal from her mobile phone no. 9433146494 when Dr. Pal informed her that he had returned Konnagar /Rishra after seeing AC/Non-AC Chambers and he was at Serampur at that time. During this telephonic conversation Mrs. Pal heard some louder voice including that of a woman. Mrs Pal asked Dr. Pal if the doctors were quarrelling. In reply Dr.Pal stated it was common in the O.T. Dr. Pal also stated to her that he would be returning to home around 05/05:30 P.M. But he did not return at that time. She rang up to the mobile phone of Dr. Pal but the mobile was switched off. At this she talked with Mamata Polyclinic Phone No. 26627135 from her phone no 22477839 when a person informed her that the bag of Dr. Pal was found on the road and the bag will be deposited to their polyclinic on 03.07.2004 at 10:00 hrs by the person who got the bag. The person of Mamata Poly Clinic did not give any further details .After about an hour Mrs. Pal received a phone from Mamata Poly Clinic who informed her that the bag was found near Kolkata and not at Serampur. Mrs. Pal then contacted Dr. Mihir Saha over phone at serampur Walsh Hospital at about 08:45/09:00 P.M. who requested her not to be worried and Dr. Pal might be returning to home by 10:00/10:30 P.M. Mrs. Pal then left for Serampur by their car no WB02H/4576 with her brother Snehashis Mondal & Samrat Kundu in search of her husband. One Prasanta Bose and another accompanied them from near Lalbaba College, Belur. They reached Serampur Walsh hospital at around 01:00 hrs on 03.07.2004. Dr. Mihir Saha & some other doctors were on duty at that time. Dr. Mihir saha informed her that now-a-days Dr. Pal was suffering from depression which was objected to by her. She also could gather that Dr. pal did not visit Walsh Hospital on 02.07.2004 at all. They went to Serampur PS and did a missing diary vide GD Entry No. 145 dated 03.07.2004 and returned to Kolkata on 03.07.2004 at around 09/09:30 hrs she also made a missing diary at Karaya Police Station vide no . 183 dt 03.07.2004 . At about 10:30 hrs of 03.07.2004 she received an information from Karaya Police Station that an unknown dead body was found at Sankrail Police Station area District Howrah . By this time one Mr. Chakraborty , an officer of Sankrail Police Station talked with his brother Snehashis Mondal and requested him to come to Sankrail Police Station to identify the unknown dead body . Sri Nihar Pal , Sri Subhas Chandra Pal & some others went to Sankrail PS and identified the dead body as of her husband Dr. Susil Pal . The body was sent to Howrah General Hospital for Post-Mortem Examination on 03.07.2004 where from the body was sent to Calcutta Medical College and Post-Mortem Examination was held there 0n 05.07.2004 and the body was cremated on the same day. Mrs. Pal also mentioned in her complaint that on 03.07.2004 at about 09:00 hrs Dr. Mihir Saha informed her over phone that her husband might visit Jalpaiguri and requested her to make an enquiry there. She further stated that her husband was a good swimmer and he did not die due to drowning. She has firm belief that her husband bas been killed by some unknown persons and threw the dead body in the water and requested for police investigation. On the basis of this complaint this instant case was started by S.I. Md Abdul Hai Sardar . Initially Sankrail P.S. U.D. Case no 51/04 dated 03.07.2004 was started on receipt of an unknown dead body at Saraswati Khal under P.S. Sankrail . |
